Maternal Care Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maternal Care Specialist to provide comprehensive care to women and their newborns in the Northern Territory.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Midwives to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing expert clinical care and emotional reassurance to women during labour and postnatally.
* Job Summary:
* Provide antenatal care, including assessments, screening, and health education.
* Support women during labour with expert clinical care and emotional reassurance.
* Safely conduct deliveries and manage immediate postnatal care.
* Offer continued support through the postnatal period, including breastfeeding guidance and newborn assessments.
* Work collaboratively with GPs, obstetricians, allied health, and other nurses.
* Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best-practice standards in all aspects of care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* AHPRA Registration as a Registered Midwife.
* Experience in maternity services.
* Strong interpersonal, clinical, and documentation skills.
* National Police Clearance & Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
* Remote Area Nursing accreditation (desirable).
* Flexibility to travel or relocate depending on role type.
