About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our team at Brisbane Airport, reporting to the Production Manager. In this hands-on role, you will supervise day-to-day Assembly operations, ensuring all activities are performed efficiently, safely, and in line with customer quality standards and strict hygiene requirements.
This role operates on a rotating roster, covering AM and PM shifts across a 7-day operational pattern.
What you will focus on:
* Supervising Assembly operations across Make & Pack, Pick & Pack, and Wash & Pack
* Leading, coaching, and engaging teams to meet daily production targets
* Monitoring productivity, labour usage, and operational performance against KPIs
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, WHS, and security requirements
* Maintaining quality standards aligned with customer and business expectations
* Identifying issues, escalating risks, and supporting corrective actions
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and reduce waste
* Supporting staff planning, training, and performance management
Qualifications:
* High school certificate required
* Further qualifications in operations, logistics, or food safety are advantageous
Experience and skills:
* Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in high-volume environments such as catering, food production, manufacturing, or logistics
* Strong understanding of packing standards, dishwashing operations, and HACCP principles
* Previous inflight catering or airline-related experience is highly desirable
* Proven leadership, communication, and team engagement skills
* Strong organisational ability with competent computer skills, including Microsoft 365
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to hygiene, compliance, and on-time performance
