Overview


Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital

To maintain a high standard of health records and provide an efficient service to internal departments and external organisations.


Position

1. Permanent Part-time | 30 hours per fortnight
2. Fixed-term Part-time (12 months) | 56 hours per fortnight
3. The Position
* Accurate and timely scanning of health record documents to Scanned Health Record System (SHRS).
* Prepare and verify documents for scanning to SHRS.
* Perform quality activities on scanned documents.
* Correct identified anomalies in SHRS.
* Respond to telephone, email and fax enquiries from other departments and external organisations for requests for patient information.
* Update and maintain doctor and practice database.
* Filing and culling of health records.
* Maintain health record tracking system for all record movements.
* Collect and sort mail.
* Liaise with secondary storage contractor for the retrieval and return of health records

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, along with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

To succeed, you will be proficient in using email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Experience using Web Patient Administration System (webPAS) and/or a Scanned Medical Record is desriable.

* Salary: $60,173 to $61,903 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation
* Permanent Part time role, working 30hours a fornight & Fixed-term Part-time (12 months), 56 hours per fortnight.
