Job Title: Lawyer (Senior Associate), Environment & Planning
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a qualified lawyer with experience in environmental law. The successful candidate will be working closely with a Sydney-based partner and other lawyers to provide advice on a range of environmental issues, including pollution licensing, renewable energy, waste management and contaminated land remediation.
Responsibilities:
* Providing advice on environmental risk management compliance;
* Pollution licensing enforcement litigation;
* Renewable energy wind solar farms;
* Waste including licensing levies compliance issues;
* Native vegetation natural resource management;
* Contaminated land management remediation;
* Strategic planning development advice;
* Environmental impact assessment;
* Planning agreements Heritage law;
* Land Environment Court litigation;
* Planning environmental due diligence;
* Climate change law policy; and
* Sustainability including environmental upgrade agreements.
Requirements:
* A qualified lawyer with 5+ years experience currently working within a highly regarded environment & planning practice;
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
* A strong understanding of environmental law and regulations;
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
