About the role
The Telephonist is a key frontline role within Orange Hospital, responsible for providing a professional and courteous telephone service for the hospital, staff, patients, and the wider community.
This position ensures timely, accurate communication by receiving, directing, and managing incoming and outgoing calls, and responding to enquiries in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
The role is typically based in the hospital switchboard area.
Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
The role supports all departments across Orange Hospital and plays a critical role in hospital operations and patient safety.
The telephonist is an individual role, but works very closely with the team around you coordinating an appropriate response for stakeholders.
