Job Description
About the Position:
This role is suitable for practitioners with experience and an interest in working within the disability and complex mental health sectors, in both adult and youth forensic contexts. We seek individuals to join us as Senior Forensic Practitioners.
We deliver both direct (interventions) and indirect (forensic reports) services to individuals with complex needs under legislative frameworks. We also support teams working within forensic frameworks and provide specialist advice to promote positive community behaviour.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
* Conduct forensic assessments, including risk assessments, treatment plans, and court documentation;
* Identify supports, interventions, and service models for individuals subject to various orders or at risk of justice system contact;
* Prepare and deliver assessment reports to relevant bodies (e.g., state/territory departments, NDIS);
* Provide high-level clinical consulting and lead multidisciplinary meetings;
* Offer consultation, training, and advice to support teams;
* Collaborate with various professionals (e.g., allied health, mental health, forensic, disability support);
* Develop behaviour support plans and provide psycho-social support;
* Develop and deliver direct interventions, such as offence-specific programs;
* Supervise and provide expertise to other practitioners.

Our office is based in Pennant Hills. The role requires regular travel around Sydney and occasional regional travel. Opportunities for interstate or remote work are available, and there is an option to work from home for administrative tasks and report writing.
Desired Skills and Experience
Criteria:
* Relevant tertiary qualification (psychology, social work, occupational therapy, disability) and registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., AHPRA) or NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
* Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, or trauma, with complex needs.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in forensic practice and knowledge of relevant frameworks. Experience with legislative frameworks is desirable.
* Experience in clinical or behaviour assessments, interventions, and report writing. Court experience is a plus.
Due to the nature of the work, staff must:
* Hold a current Driver’s Licence;
* Have or be able to obtain a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening;
* Be willing to adhere to government vaccination requirements, if applicable.
