You will deliver the resources of RBC Capital Markets and other RBC divisions to the corporate client base, primarily consisting of listed and unlisted corporations, government entities and private equity.

What is the opportunity?

As an Senior Analyst, Global Investment Banking, you will deliver the resources of RBC Capital Markets and other RBC divisions to the corporate client base, primarily consisting of listed and unlisted corporations, government entities and private equity.

What will you do?

* Participate in the origination and execution of M&A and financing transactions, focusing on the Oil and Gas sector.
* Contribute to day-to-day M&A execution processes, including:
o In-depth financial analysis
o Modelling and valuation
o Due diligence
o Industry research and analysis
* Prepare high-quality marketing materials, including client presentations and industry insights.
* Attend client meetings to support deal execution and pitch presentations.
* Assist senior bankers with client account coverage and idea generation.
* Train and mentor junior team members (interns, graduates, analysts) to develop strong investment banking skill sets.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the organization, including:
o Other investment banking sector teams
o Global offices
o Corporate banking
o Leveraged Finance
o Equity Capital Markets (ECM)
o Debt Capital Markets (DCM)
* Leverage RBC's global platform to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

* Minimum 2 years of Investment Banking experience at the Analyst level
* Developing understanding of all investment banking products including M&A, equity, debt, and convertible securities
* Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting
* Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
* Ability to take initiative and function well within a team
* Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to create and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
* Must maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct

Nice-to-have

* Degree educated in Commerce, BA, BS or similar area
* CFA/CA
