Overview
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this role, this role is NOT suitable for student placements, people wanting to gain experience in the sector or used for Centrelink obligations. Citizen Advocacy connects people with disability to voluntary members of the local community. We are seeking a someone to be a friend and advocate for Diana, a woman who experiences disability and memory loss and would benefit from more connection and support in her life.
As Diana's advocate, you will build a trusted friendship, spend time together doing everyday things, and support her to feel more confident and connected in her community. At times, this may also include speaking up alongside her or helping her navigate situations where she needs extra support.
Experience with memory loss would be helpful but is not essential. No formal qualifications are required. What matters most is your willingness to build a genuine relationship and show up consistently.
Your Involvement
This is a flexible, long term role shaped around what suits you both. Time and activities may change over time as needs and circumstances shift. Orientation, training, and ongoing support will be provided.

Minimum commitment: 12 months
5. Training: Extensive orientation, ongoing support and training opportunities.
