Senior Policy & Compliance Officer – APS 6

About the role
We are looking to fill multiple APS 6 roles to work in teams across the Consumer and Content Divisions. We are seeking motivated and collaborative professionals to work with our teams and help deliver tangible compliance, enforcement and policy outcomes for telco consumers.
To succeed in these roles, you will thrive on tackling current and emerging consumer harms.
APS 6 roles report to EL1-2 supervisors, and are expected to meet APS 6 Work Level Standards and Integrated Leadership Profile (ILS) capability development guidance.
As an APS 6 Senior Policy and Compliance Officer, your duties may include:
* independently seeking and analysing data, intelligence, evidence and enquiries to inform decision making
* researching and assessing complex regulatory issues, preparing recommendations and plans to guide ACMA decisions and actions
* developing high quality reports, briefs and recommendations for the ACMA Authority and other decision-makers
* interpreting and applying relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks to complex matters requiring consultation, advice or investigation
* working constructively and collaboratively as a member of multi-disciplinary team/s to deliver shared objectives
* planning, recommending and undertaking compliance and enforcement activities
* developing and maintaining professional relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve regulatory outcomes
* building and demonstrating supervisory and leadership skills
* supporting the ACMA Authority, your colleagues, supervisors and managers.
