**Position Information**:
Woodberry Public School sits within the Hunter network of schools. Woodberry Public School has an enrolment of 200 students, in 8 mainstream classes and 5 support classes. Of these students 39% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our students experience quality literacy and numeracy programs from Kindergarten to Year 6. **Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach Primary Library, or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education(Refer special notes below).
- Capacity to manage and implement a stimulating library learning environment, encompassing the physical space and resources of the library, including the Oliver Library Management System.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively and professionally with our Aboriginal community and stakeholders to promote a positive school culture.
- Evidence of effective classroom management skills and ability to implement high impact teaching strategies that support student engagement and wellbeing.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
**This is a permanent part time position for 2 days per week 0.4 FTE (Full-time equivalent).**
