Our client is a highly successful Australian FMCG organisation with iconic, category-leading consumer brands. They have a fantastic opportunity available for a supply chain planning professional to support a key function at their head office in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager in a stand-alone role, the supply planner is responsible for ensuring optimal stock coverage across a complex international supply chain to meet forecasted customer demand. Key accountability includes:
The generation, placement and expedition of purchase orders in line with forecasted customer needs.
Providing accurate and timely supply information to other functions participating in the S&OP; process.
Working with other areas of the business to improve supply chain tools and processes to meet organisational goals.
Applying a continuous improvement approach to processes and systems to strive for a best-in-class supply planning environment.
Skills & Experience
Extensive purchasing, supply or inventory planning experience in the consumer durables or FMCG space.
Ideally tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as supply chain or logistics management.
First-class written and verbal communication skills and influencing ability.
