We're looking for a passionate, detail‑driven Senior Cost Planner to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the quality, value and success of Mirvac's future projects.
In this role, you will provide construction cost plans, value optimisation, and construction risk advice across a diverse portfolio including build‑to‑sell residential, build‑to‑rent, office, mixed‑use and retail developments. You'll work closely with Development, Design, Architecture and Construction teams to ensure our projects deliver exceptional outcomes while maintaining Mirvac's standards and brand quality.
What you'll be doing
* Interpreting project briefs and EOIs.
* Preparing cost plans from early feasibility to detailed elemental cost plans and BOQs.
* Identifying construction risks and driving value optimisation.
* Setting trade budgets and supporting subcontractor and consultant management.
* Participating in design meetings and providing trusted cost advice.
* Setting up cost planning systems and benchmarking Mirvac projects.
* Leading adoption of BIM and 5D measurement techniques.
* Monitoring construction price trends and staying across regulatory and HSE advancements.
* Coaching and mentoring Cost Planners.
What you'll bring
With over 10 years' experience in construction and property development, you bring strong capability across both residential and commercial sectors.
You pair clear communication with sharp analytical and collaborative skills, enabling you to influence outcomes and support project teams effectively.
Backed by tertiary qualifications in building construction, quantity surveying or building economics, you apply deep technical knowledge with confidence.
Your expertise spans cost planning, procurement, development feasibilities and D&C methodologies—equipping you to drive value and deliver robust commercial insights.
