Job Description We are currently recruiting for a passionate Technical Officer to join the Nursing and Midwifery group, supporting the Simulation and Practical Experience team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, simulation-based learning activities across Nursing, Midwifery and the broader Health Group.
Under the supervision of the Team Leader and guidance of the Senior Technical Officer (School of Nursing and Midwifery), you will provide technical support for practical teaching activities and clinical simulations, including setup, pack down, and procurement.
You'll also play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment through the implementation of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment for staff and students.
Here's how you'll make it matter: Provide hands-on technical support for simulation and practical teaching activities.
Set up and maintain teaching equipment and simulation technologies.
Undertake stock control, maintenance, and procurement of consumables and equipment.
Support WHS compliance and contribute to a safe, inclusive working environment.
Collaborate with academic and professional staff to deliver engaging, high-quality simulation experiences for students.
This is a continuing, full-time position primarily based at either Griffith University's Gold Coast or Logan campus.
As Griffith is a multi-campus University, you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University's sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 4 range $73, - $77, per annum + 17% superannuation.
The total FTE package will be in the range $86, - $90, per annum.

You will also have: A relevant Health-based degree or associate diploma with subsequent experience in providing technical support to a health-related learning environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent class facilitation knowledge and proactive communication skills to support classroom-based learning.
Strong Health and Safety compliance acumen within specialised teaching environments.
Developed critical thinking skills and a highly organised approach with strong attention to detail.
Experience using Microsoft, including Teams and SharePoint.
The ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Experience supporting practical and simulation-based learning in Nursing, Midwifery or other Health disciplines (highly regarded).
