Workshop Leading Hand
Assignment Description
The Workshop Leading Hand is responsible for controlling, managing, and coordinating the workshop resources, in a safe and responsible manner, to achieve the required installation targets, as required by internal and external stakeholders of the business. The Workshop Leading Hand will report to the Fleet Manager and will have a cohort of direct reports, consisting of qualified tradesmen and apprentices.
Maintaining and safe work environment.
Assisting the Workshop Supervisor with general tasks as required.
Coordinating workshop resources.
Cleaning, preparing, and maintaining work sites.
Coordinating internal and external stakeholders
Confident communication when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborating with in office contractors.
Assist the Workshop Supervisor with internal audits – compliance, QA/QC, housekeeping, risk management, document control, environmental management.
Adhering to relevant regulations and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of workshop activities.
Adhere to WHS policies and procedures.
Qualifications Required
Workshop Experience
Trade Qualified
Repairers License
Automotive Electrical Installation Experience
Mining Background including Earth Moving Equipment Experience - Advantageous
