About The Role
We are partnering with one of our clients who are looking for a detail-focused Payroll Officer to join their friendly and growing team based in Gladesville. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where accuracy, efficiency, and team spirit are valued. You'll play a key role in ensuring our payroll runs smoothly and on time, while providing support across the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end payroll processing (weekly/fortnightly cycles)
* Maintaining employee records and payroll data
* Interpreting awards, EBAs, and employment contracts
* Managing superannuation, payroll tax, and statutory reporting
* Resolving payroll queries from employees in a timely manner
* Supporting audits and compliance processes
* Assisting with process improvements and system updates
About You
* Previous experience in a payroll role (2+ years preferred)
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
* Experience with payroll systems (e.g. MYOB, Xero, Kronos, or similar)
