**About the role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, proactive individual to play an integral role in the continued success of our Tools & Equipment (T&E) business.
As a category assistant, you will provide administrative and business support to two merchandise managers and the wider team. You will work with varied teams across the business; Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and including new and existing suppliers.
In this high engagement role, you will be providing efficient, confidential, and professional support in a range of operational and coordination activities like events, reports, liaising with suppliers and project coordination whilst keeping one step ahead of priorities.
The role is based out of Clayton with the ability to work from home for 3 days per week, this is a brilliant platform that will nurture your career, the opportunities are perfect for someone with a grounding in administration & support and could also be a great role for a PA/EA looking to step up in responsibility.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist execution of category plans in conjunction with the Category Merchandise Managers.
- Coordinate merchandise activities in conjunction with marketing
- Establish & maintain category performance dashboard based on key metrics from the category plans.
- Coordinate the product and pricing maintenance for all sales and promotional campaigns
- Work with the Category Merchandise Managers in regular category range reviews
**Skills & Experience**
- Strong communications skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in successfully managing conflicting priorities
- Ability to influence others to deliver information on time
- Proven experience with MS Office packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
