Accountant - Bundamba
My client, a leading and dynamic organisation based in Bundamba, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Finance team. This is a hands-on role with exposure to the full accounting cycle and the opportunity to work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all financial processes.
* Assist management with cashflow reporting and forecasting to support business decision-making.
* Compile monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management and corporate accounting.
* Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
* Prepare monthly reporting on MAR variances and contribute to variance analysis discussions.
* Oversee order entry and customer invoicing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently.
* Maintain and review internal control documentation, participating in audits as required.
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the finance function.
* Prepare audit schedules, SEC reporting schedules, and assist with tax returns and statutory reporting.
* Work with external accounting firms to ensure compliance with all financial legislative requirements and timely reporting to corporate accounting.
* Support other finance and business projects as required by senior management.
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- Qualifications: CPA registration is essential, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and office management.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Xero and SAP highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously manage financial records, invoicing, payments, and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to gather, interpret, and analyse financial information to solve problems and inform decision-making.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Organisational Skills: Capable of prioritising and managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and thriving under pressure.

Desired Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience:
CPA-qualified with 5+ years in accounting and office/finance management
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Xero and SAP preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
Experience managing cashflow, invoicing, and month-end/quarter-end processes
Skilled in audits, tax reporting, and preparing financial schedules
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
