Supporting the Admin-Finance and Production team, this role offers the flexibility to work full time or part time out of our Beenleigh site.
Join a dynamic team where precision meets purpose We're seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to manage procurement processes and supplier relationships across domestic and international markets.
You will manage security and reliability of supply chain to ensure on-time product delivery. Local manufacture, supported by off-shore electrical component assembly and imported products experience with international shipping is essential.
Supplier negotiating skills are essential and a proactive, hands-on approach is equally important, which includes the challenges of driving international suppliers.
Responsibilities:
* Building and maintaining good supplier relationships and completing formal supplier reviews to comply with ISO requirements
* End to End purchasing from local and international suppliers
* Identification and management of critical parts
* Expediting supplier orders to facilitate on-time delivery
* Identification and management of critical parts
* Building and Managing supplier relationships
* Coordinate international supply arrangements, freight and customs
* Work collectively with our warehouse teams; receivals, despatch and inventory management.
* Manage and apply internal buying rules to ensure consistent, compliant purchasing decisions are made.
Day to day tasks:
* Raise purchase orders, obtain quotes, and follow up with suppliers.
* Verify pricing and ensure supplier compliance with ISO Quality standards.
* Maintain the Supplier Register with up-to-date insurance certificates, certifications, and policies.
* Enter and reconcile invoices from suppliers – identify discrepancies
* Follow up on missing invoices and manage general inboxes for accounts and purchasing.
* Work closely with General Manager, Production, Projects, and Finance teams to meet purchasing needs.
* Cross-check invoices against delivery dockets and system records.
* Reconcile Creditor statements at month end
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in purchasing or accounts administration.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Familiarity with MYOB EXO, Xero, and Fishbowl (preferred).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks/businesses and communicate effectively.
* Flexibility to work short days Monday to Friday.
* Experience in a similar role
* Proficiency across Microsoft office suite
* Knowledge of service based and parts-based procurement
* Experience forecasting supply needs and completing Supplier Reviews
* High degree of self-management experience with accountability for outcomes
