About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of donors. Your excellent communication skills and passion for customer service will enable you to build strong relationships with donors and provide a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
* Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
* Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
* Set up machines and collections equipment
* Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma
* Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
* Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
* Ability to lift between 9-22.7kgs and stand for long periods
* Frequent bending and walking required to set up and pack down machines and blood products
* Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
* Own vehicle and driver's license required
