About the opportunity:
Committed to genuinely supporting its people, Olam Agri / Queensland Cotton are looking for a proactive and solutions focused HR Business Partner to work with leaders to deliver the full spectrum of HR services. From workforce planning and recruitment, to engagement, performance, communications and change - you'll be at the heart of it all.
This is not your typical 9-to-5 role - it's an opportunity to make a real impact, gain exposure to the national operational footprint, and champion continuous improvement in alignment with global practices.
Responsibilities
* Establish strong relationships, visibility, trust and confidence through regular phone calls, site visits and attending business meetings;
* Provide practical fit-for-purpose HR advice and support to leaders to help engage, retain and/or mitigate risk;
* Lead and support activities including permanent recruitment and onboarding; training design and delivery; retention and more, ensuring efficient service delivery and positive candidate and employee experience;
* Drive key initiatives such as annual goal setting and year end conversations, engagement survey action planning, and recognition programs;
* Coach and support managers to enhance leadership quality and elevate team performance;
* Skillfully manage employee relations and casework, including disciplinary or performance issues, grievance resolution, and accurate record-keeping;
* Develop and refine HR documentation including policies, position descriptions and training materials; and
* Support workforce analytics and reporting, contribute to audits, workforce insights, and continuous improvement efforts.
Who we are looking for
You will bring with you experience in a HR business partnering role, preferably in a supply chain, manufacturing or site-based environment, with the proven ability to deliver results. With well-developed knowledge across all factors that influence an employee's lifecycle, you will have the ability to think critically and propose and deliver practical solutions.
To be successful, you will demonstrate
* A proactive, collaborative and down-to-earth working style, with an innate ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders across all levels;
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian employment legislation and how to apply this;
* Business acumen, resilience to flex and navigate a changing environment and the ability to 'lean in' and be involved in tasks that will contribute to business outcomes;
* Known for having a keen eye for detail, a flair for effective verbal and written communication whilst also being efficient and exceptional at managing emails and correspondence; and
* Proven experience working with leaders to coach and guide their decision-making process, alongside your ability to influence culture and performance.
