We currently have a permanent part‐time opportunity for an experienced F&B Supervisor to join our Health and Education team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Reporting to the Retail Manager, you'll help deliver high‐quality outcomes that support our essential services.
The position operates across two retail venues (Container Café and Alice&George Café) and requires you to manage 8‐10 staff at a time. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6am till 5pm, so you will need to have availability to be rostered during these hours. As it's a part‐time position, generally your daily roster will be 6 hours.
What You'll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
* Plan production based on sales projection
* Prepare and service breakfast when required
* Cleaning and wash dishes when required
* Ensure ingredients and equipment are at the correct temperature
* Stock merchandise counter and display prior to service
* Clean and sanitise bench, tables, fridges, ensuring correct storage of all food items
* Ensure that the outlet opening and closing procedures are adhered to by all staff so that the next shift can operate smoothly
What You'll Bring (experience required)
* The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a supervisor in a busy cafe, coffee shop or cafeteria
* Must have barista skills
* Exceptional customer service
* Current Food Handlers Certificate
* Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
