In this vital role, you’ll draw on your clinical expertise to support the clinical team in driving excellence in clinical and organisational practice to improve health care and service delivery. As a Quality Improvement Consultant, you will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical improvement initiatives aligned with CALHN’s strategic priorities and risk profile. You’ll harness health information technologies and data to identify opportunities for improvement, contribute to building capability across the network, and work within a range of practice models—from portfolio management to the coordination of projects and programs that enhance service delivery and patient care. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and safe workplace culture. In this role you will consult and collaborate with clinical and corporate professionals within the health service, external stakeholders, and consumers to improve patient and service outcomes. About You You are a motivated and experienced allied health /nursing/midwifery professional with a passion for driving quality and safety in healthcare. Your strong leadership skills and clinical knowledge make you an asset in multidisciplinary environments where continuous improvement is key. Qualifications & Registration : Registered or eligible for registration as an Allied Health professional, Nurse or Midwife with relevant professional body / association / Board and holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate with APHRA. Leadership & Communication : Proven leadership experience with advanced communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; able to lead change and engage consumers and staff alike. Project & Data Expertise : Demonstrated ability to manage projects, analyse data, and use clinical information systems to inform improvement activities. Knowledge & Innovation : Deep understanding of quality improvement with the ability to apply improvement methodologies effectively. Knowledge of safety and quality standards, accreditation processes, and contemporary healthcare issues, skills in critical thinking and idea generation.
