Alex Perry is seeking a talented and highly collaborative Designer to join our creative team in Darlinghurst.
Working closely with the Design Director and Creative Director, this role will contribute to the development of innovative seasonal collections across multiple categories, supporting the evolution of the brand's creative vision, aesthetic direction and premium market positioning.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creatively driven Designer who is passionate about garment development, fabrication, fit and premium product execution. We are ideally seeking someone with experience within a high-end luxury or premium fashion environment, with a strong understanding of elevated product, fabrication and finish.
You will play a hands‐on role throughout the full design and development lifecycle, from initial concept through to final production.
Key responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development of seasonal collections aligned to the brand's creative vision and aesthetic direction.
* Develop sketches, CADs and technical drawings across multiple categories.
* Research global fashion trends, silhouettes, fabrications and market movements to inform seasonal direction.
* Source and develop premium fabrics, trims and embellishments aligned to the brand aesthetic.
* Drive garment development and fit execution from concept through to production.
* Collaborate closely with suppliers, pattern makers and manufacturing partners throughout the development process.
* Manage colour and print direction across seasonal collections.
* Support lookbook and campaign shoots, including styling and creative coordination.
About You:
You are a passionate and detail-oriented Designer with a genuine appreciation for premium product development. You thrive in a collaborative and fast‐paced environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to your work.
You will ideally bring:
* 3-5 years' experience in a Womenswear Design or Product Development role
* Experience working within a high-end luxury or premium fashion environment
* Tertiary qualifications in Fashion Design, Textile Design or a related discipline
* Strong proficiency across Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD software
* Strong understanding of garment construction, fit development and premium fabrications
* Excellent organisational, communication and collaboration skills
* High attention to detail and commitment to premium quality execution
