Role
We are currently looking for a Field Sales Manager to join our QLD Sales Team in a full‑time position. Your role will be to motivate and inspire your people by setting a clear expectation on high performance to deliver initiatives that exceed the agreed objectives in line with the AMES growth strategy.
Responsibilities
* Ensure achievement of budgeted territory sales growth targets on a State basis.
* Lead the team and develop/maintain excellent professional relationships with all team members.
* Drive incremental sales initiatives and further grow existing sales base.
* Maintain and enhance relationships with all major customers.
* Manage the weekly sales reporting to the Sales Manager.
* Coordinate and participate at scheduled State Sales/Ops meetings.
* Ensure the effective and responsible use of all company issued resources including the company vehicle, company credit card, mobile phone and IT equipment.
Skills and Attributes
* Demonstrated experience as a Sales manager at a State level.
* Leads own workload while working across multiple teams.
* High Level of Commercial acumen and awareness.
* Product knowledge in Garden/Home & Landscaping Hardware consumer products beneficial.
* Experience with Salesforce advantageous.
* Superior influencing and expert negotiation skills.
* Intermediate skills with Microsoft products and other information systems.
