**The Role**
The Maritime Geospatial Branch is part of the Department of Defence. It is responsible for providing Australia's national charting service under the terms of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), and the Navigation Act 2012 (Cth).
We are seeking to recruit a number of permanent APS 6 to undertake a governance and assurance role that will include risk management, government reporting and business administration.
**About our Team**
Working in the Maritime Geospatial Relationships and Governance Directorate (MRGD), you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for enabling the Maritime Geospatial Branch's core function to support maritime safety in Australian waters, Australia's blue economy, contributing to protection of the marine environment and support of Defence operations.
MRGD is responsible for the provision of business support, corporate governance, contract management, stakeholder and customer relationships and product licensing and distribution for the AHO.
Working in the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) Maritime Geospatial Relationships and Governance Directorate (MRGD), you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for enabling the AHO's core function to support maritime safety in Australian waters, Australia's blue economy, contributing to protection of the marine environment and support of Defence operations.
MRGD is responsible for the provision of business support, corporate governance, contract management, stakeholder and customer relationships and product licensing and dissemination for the AHO.
Demonstrated skills in multi-tasking, stakeholder engagement and government procurement would be looked upon favorably.
