Position Description
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a team of 10, you will be responsible for:
* Processing payroll end to end for approximately 1000 employees split amongst two pay runs
* Alternating between fortnightly & monthly pay runs alongside another Senior Payroll Officer
* PAYG, Workcover and Superannuation payments
* Ensure employment records, pay rates, allowances, and entitlements align with applicable awards, agreements, and company policies.
* Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
* Calculating redundancies
* Payroll reconciliations and reporting
* Additional tasks to assist the broader team
The Successful Candidate
To be a success in this role you will possess:
* Extensive prior experience in a similar payroll focused role within a medium/large scale organisation.
* Previous experience using Chris21/iChris would be highly regarded
* Understanding of and experience interpreting Awards/EBAs
* High level attention to detail and accuracy
* A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner
* Forward thinking mindset with a keen desire to lead change
* Strong stakeholder management skills with clear communication techniques
