As they accelerate growth across NSW, they are hiring their first dedicated Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead the expansion of their retail asset management portfolio. Role Objective
The BDM will be responsible for accelerating portfolio growth by converting opportunities within a large, established database of retail property owners. You will secure new management appointments across key retail asset classes, including :
* Shopping Centres
* Large Format Retail
* Service Centres (including Drive-Thru QSR and Fuel Stations)
* Childcare Centres

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Growth & Lead Conversion
* Identify and engage owners of retail assets aligned with the firm's mandate.
* Convert cold and warm leads into signed management appointments.
Database Management & Lead Nurturing
* Leverage an extensive internal database of thousands of retail property owners.
* Re-engage previously active but unconverted landlord relationships.
* Implement structured touchpoints, follow-up sequences and relationship strategies.
Business Development Execution
* Conduct targeted cold calling, outreach and networking activities.
* Lead meetings, presentations and proposals with prospective clients.
* Present the firm's story, capability and philosophy with depth and conviction.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
* Maintain insight into retail property trends, ownership structures and market dynamics.
* Provide strategic feedback to support portfolio growth initiatives.
Collaboration
* Work closely with leadership to refine BD strategy and positioning.
* Represent the business at industry events and client interactions.
Required Experience & Attributes
* Experience within retail property is essential — property management, leasing, retail investment sales, advisory or similar.
* Business development, sales, or client-facing experience within property is strongly preferred.
* Proven ability to build rapport with asset owners and convert opportunities.
* Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate a premium value proposition.
* High energy, resilience and an outcome-driven mindset.
* Professional, commercially astute and able to represent a premium brand.
* Self-driven with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with leadership.
