Clinical Nurse Consultant
Job Description
The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant is to provide high-quality clinical assessment, consultancy and support to NSW Ambulance and Police in managing mental health related cases in the community. This will involve working with emergency services to provide mental health triage, primary consumer assessment and management of complex mental health emergencies and crises at an advanced level.
The position holder will possess extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and demonstrated clinical practices to provide support, treatment, coordination and education to emergency services who work with consumers with complex mental and physical health needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to Community Mental Health in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence
