This position supports Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Government Solutions in their joint Department of Defense program in Alice Springs, Australia. The successful candidate will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide the services outlined below:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering top-quality patient care and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to assess patient needs, administer treatments, and coordinate care in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and techniques to patient care.
* React promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
* Possess knowledge of training and teaching methods.
* Develop rapport with patients and co-workers through interpersonal skills.
* Collect samples and perform laboratory procedures following guidelines.
* Provide routine, urgent, and emergency care.
* Triages and advises patients within scope of practice.
* Check blood pressure and weight, perform EKGs, draw blood, and collect urine samples.
* Manage documentation including mail, lab, and x-ray reports.
* Maintain clinic standards for care delivery.
* Manage sterilization and utility rooms.
* Complete organizational compliance training for accreditation and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Expertise in clinical practice with a patient-centered approach.
* Strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
Work Experience:
* Minimum of three (3) years of registered/nurse licensure experience.
Qualifications:
* Licensed to practice nursing in Australia.
* Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution.
* Current CPR certification.
Physical Demands:
* Work primarily in an indoor environment.
* Sitting and standing for extended periods.
* Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Qualifications:
* Must be a US, UK, or Australian citizen.
* Willing to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the contract duration.
* Valid passport required and must be maintained during stay.
