About the role
As a Regulatory Economist, you will provide expert economic analysis to support SA Power Networks’ regulatory proposals, investment decision-making, and advocacy on regulatory reform. This role involves contributing to expenditure forecasting, service valuation, cost-benefit analyses, and the development of frameworks to balance financial and stakeholder outcomes. You will also collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders across the national energy sector, to help shape regulatory frameworks and outcomes that align with strategic business objectives and customer needs.

- Starting salary of $147,824.01 per annum + super.

About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- Degree in Economics or a related commercial discipline (e.g. Finance, Commerce) with a strong foundation in economic theory.
- 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in economic analysis within a business, regulatory body, or government agency.
- Knowledge of, or experience with, the regulatory environment and expectations for network utility businesses.
- Proven ability to critically analyse complex economic issues and provide clear, informed advice.
