Primary objective
Provide leadership and corporate support to the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE), this can include operational
management of the executive services team; provision of secretariat services for executive committees; information
management and project delivery; and facilitation of executive processes.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead the Executive Services team to deliver high quality executive and corporate support to the Chief Executive, Deputy
Chief Executives and OCE through effective management of resources, workflow and performance.
2. Provide effective oversight of the day-to-day finances, administration, information management and human resources
of the Executive Services team to ensure delivery of effective services.
1. Provision of high-quality secretariat and coordination services for executive governance meetings, including
coordination of Executive Leadership Board, Senior Executive Group and Taskforce meetings.
1. Develop and implement processes and procedures to support operation of the OCE and Executive Services teams.
2. Provide high level advice, reporting and guidance on government protocols, procedures and timelines.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in delivery of executive-level secretariat and support services in a complex organisational environment while
maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders.
1. High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the capacity to consult, negotiate with influence, resolve
sensitive issues and shape service delivery; and the ability to exercise sound judgement, particularly in respect of
political sensitivity and confidentiality.
1. Proven capabilities in leadership with demonstrated ability to in develop, manage and mentor staff in a team
environment.
1. Superior written skills and experience in preparing and editing executive correspondence, briefings, reports and other
related documentation; demonstrating meticulous attention to the detail and accuracy of written communications.
1. High-level organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure,
be proactive, prioritise competing demands and drive outcomes to meet tight deadlines.
1. Demonstrated administrative management skills, including proficiency in executive administration, business planning,
change management, risk management and budget management.
1. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing processes to support operational service delivery, including
implementation of robust monitoring and evaluation systems to identify areas for continual improvement.
1. Sound understanding of operations of government, including the ability to provide high-level advice on related protocol
and procedural matters.
Desirable
1. Relevant qualification/s in business, public administration, public policy or similar.
