**The Opportunity**
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for supplier management and procurement? We are seeking a **Supplier Management and Procurement Manager**to oversee all supplier-related activities and drive excellence in our operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Lead Supplier Management**: Manage all supplier-related activities and have the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- **Daily Guidance**: Provide day-to-day direction and tasking to Supplier Management and Procurement employees, ensuring effective acquisition of goods and services.
- **Strategic Development**: Develop and execute plans, policies, and procedures related to Supplier Management in alignment with the overall strategic direction provided by the Director of Contracts, Logistics, and Supply.
- **Resource Acquisition**: Acquire resources for departmental activities and provide technical management of suppliers.
- **Process Improvement**: Lead initiatives to improve supply chain management processes and enhance supplier performance. Conduct audits, reviews, and checks to ensure compliance
- **Representation**: Act as the representative of the SM&P function to other business areas, customers, stakeholders, and partners. Provide contractual support and advice on subcontracts, purchasing methodology, and compliance with Export and Import Control requirements.
- **Oversight and Approval**: Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, processes, and high-dollar negotiations. Review proposals, negotiate contracts, and select suppliers
- **Team Development**: Manage, develop, and motivate SM&P employees, fostering a culture of growth and excellence. Ensure the team are trained in SM&P processes, including the development of user guides and training materials
**Experience/Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in a law, supply chain or business-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership positions within contract/subcontract management and procurement and 10 additional year's experience in practitioner roles.
- Proven strong negation skills that drive favourable outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with and influence Senior and Executive level stakeholders.
- An ability to influence and willingness to drive a positive culture.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high pressure environment
**Eligibility**
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
- Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
- You may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) in order to perform this role. This is not a requirement set or determined by Boeing but by the Department of Defence under laws issued in 2024. Please refer to the Department of Defence website to understand these requirements.
