Our client is seeking an experienced Application/Integration (.NET) developer to support the development of applications and integrations for projects and programs across the organisation. The .NET developer is required to undertake technical design and development of business systems using application development standards such as .NET and SQL.
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated skill in writing multi-layered applications with C# .Net (Framework and 8+) / Web Applications / SQL Server.
* Demonstrated skills with Web Services, Mainframe integration or Message Queues such as IBM MQ.
* Strong knowledge of SQL and data modelling concepts
* Demonstrated skill with .Net MVC or WebAPI framework.
* Demonstrated skill with modern version control systems such as Git and bitbucket.
* Demonstrated skill in writing unit tests and solution governance, issue tracking, using tools such as Jira
* Experience working with a business analyst during requirements gathering.
* Experience creating web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
* Experience with a client-side Javascript library such as Knockout or Angular.
* Experience in technical architecture design, application development and programming to develop well designed solutions.
* Tertiary qualifications in information technology, computer science or software engineering.
* Well-developed organisational skills with ability to work within a project team to deliver solutions within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
Desirable Skills:
* Previous experience in designing and developing solutions for NTG business systems is preferred.
* Hands-on experience integrating application with Microsoft Fabric
* Demonstrated skill with Desktop UI development, preferably WPF.
* Demonstrated skill with web development (HTML/CSS/Javascript).
* Demonstrated skill with an Object Relational Mapping framework such as NHibernate, LLBLGen or Entity Framework.
* Demonstrated skill in designing relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
* Demonstrated skills with Unit Testing such as NUnit.
* High level social and written skills with ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a team environment with members of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
* Self-starter with high personal drive and a positive attitude.
* Disciplined and accountable for supporting and maintaining work products.
