We're looking for a full-time Prep Chef / Kitchen Hand to join our small, close-knit team at Ra Restaurant & Bar in Sunshine Beach. You'll support our chefs with day-to-day prep and keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy service.
Some previous kitchen experience is required – But we'll teach you everything you need to know. All we ask is that you bring a good attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.
This is a permanent position with a minimum working period of 3 months.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing and portioning ingredients for our chefs
* Assisting with basic food prep (chopping, slicing, dicing, batching sauces, etc.)
* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well‑stocked
* Washing dishes and maintaining a tidy work area
* Cleaning equipment, benches and floors to a high standard
* Following all food safety and hygiene procedures
* Supporting the kitchen team wherever needed during service
About you
* A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
* Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
* Good attention to detail and pride in doing things properly
* Reliable, punctual and comfortable working evenings and weekends
* Positive, team‑focused attitude
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene is a bonus (training provided)
* Full work rights in Australia and able to commit to at least 3 months
