About the Role:
This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach who has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those with physical or intellectual disabilities, who enjoys a challenge and enjoys the rewarding feeling of making a difference in someone's life.
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for an adult requiring support within their own home for 24 hour care and assistance with all activities of daily living.
Shifts available:
* Tuesday and Friday 11:30pm - 8:30am (Active Overnight)
* Saturday 5pm - 11pm
* Fortnightly Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm
* Fortnightly Saturday 5:30pm - 11:30pm
* Fortnightly Saturday 5:30pm - 12am
* Fortnightly Sunday 8:30am - 5:30pm
* Fortnightly Sunday 5pm - 11pm
Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.
Pay rate Minimum starting rate for this client's team is $43.33 per hour, plus allowances for evenings, weekends and public holidays (based on qualifications and experience).
Skills and Experience:
Desirable Competencies:
* Bowel and Catheter Care Experience
* Hoisting Experience
Experience and/or qualifications in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care or equivalent (students currently studying in these areas, as well as Nursing, Physiotherapy, OT and Paramedicine also encouraged to apply)
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven.
* Reliable, kind, and caring nature, with good work ethics
* Well-presented and a professional approach
* Active with average physical fitness level
* Positively engage, interact, and work with people who have complex needs.
* Ability to apply sensitivity, empathy, cultural awareness, and an open-minded approach to personal matters.

Requirements:
* Current resume and 2 professional referees
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
* Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employer) – if supporting U18
* Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
