Investment and Product Governance Officer Infocus Wealth Management – Maroochydore QLD

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Investment and Product Governance Officer will provide vital administrative support to the Research and Investment Management team, with a focus on product governance and risk management. The Investment and Product Governance Analyst will play a key role in assisting Infocus with meeting its product governance obligations via the implementation of policy, ongoing monitoring and review. This role is team-oriented and essential to supporting policy and product approvals, administration and reporting.

The role is ideal for someone who has had experience as a financial planner, working for an Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFSL) or a supporting role for a fund manager and enjoys working in a professional environment where attention to detail and proactive support are valued.

KEY OBJECTIVES

Assist in the maintenance and review of the Approved Product List (APL), including processing of non-approved product requests and tracking exceptions.

Update and maintain product data in our CRM to support monitoring, governance and reporting of investment product usage.

Support the implementation of the Group product governance framework including operational due diligence, compliance checks and ongoing product analysis.

Prepare reports and papers for Product Governance Committees including preparation of agendas and minutes.

Assist in the preparation and distribution of investor communications via our CRM ensuring these are accurate, timely and fit for purpose.

Manage inbound and outbound adviser communications via phone and email, ensuring timely and professional responses.

Work closely with the team to identify and implement process improvements in data management, workflow automation and reporting.

Build and maintain a broad range of relationships with key stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience ideally gained in a financial planning role, working for an Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFSL) or in a support capacity for a fund manager.

Strong understanding of the financial services industry and the ability to thrive in a professional, detailed-orientated environment.

Intermediate skills in MS Office suite, particularly in Word & Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client-outcome focus.

Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional organisational, time management and prioritising skills.

Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.

A proactive mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Coordinated the preparation and distribution of agenda packs for the Investment and Product Governance Committee, ensuring all members have the materials they need ahead of the meeting.

Updated and managed product data within our CRM to reflect changes in platform investment menus, supporting accurate governance and reporting.

Reviewed and responded to adviser requests for product approvals promptly and professionally, ensuring these are compliant with internal standards.

Participated in our weekly team meeting, where we shared wins, discussed challenges, and collaborated to support each other and improve outcomes for our adviser clients.

Collaborated with our technology team in our monthly catch-up to exchange ideas, share feedback and communicate openly about specific workflow improvements to streamline processes within our CRM.

Assisted with the review and distribution of client communications ensuring accuracy, information is presented logically and is easy for retail clients to understand.

Managed inbound and outbound adviser communications, responding promptly and professionally to queries and requests.
