An established Australian business is seeking an experienced Collections Officer to join on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This role is fully office based, located in St Peters and is paying $40 - $45 + super per hour initially with a competitive base salary upon conversion.
This is a standalone position focused purely on collections, with responsibility for a ledger that requires structured follow-up and a thorough clean-up process. You'll take ownership of the debtor function and help improve overall collections performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end collections across a busy ledger
* Drive reduction in aged debt and complete ledger clean-up activities
* Communicate proactively with customers regarding overdue accounts
* Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in D365
* Liaise with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
* Support improvements to collections processes and procedures
About You
* Strong background in collections or credit control
* Confident working autonomously in a standalone role
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
* Comfortable taking ownership of ledger clean-up and aged debt
* Experience with D365 is highly regarded
* Immediate availability or short notice preferred
