Description:
* We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale data platforms, as well as expertise in software architecture and development for data-driven applications.
* This is a full-time role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering team, partnering with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver technical solutions, and engaging with clients to understand their needs and design compelling market-leading solutions.
About the Role:

* The successful candidate will work closely with our Director Client Strategy and Director Client Delivery to understand client needs and design and successfully deliver compelling market-leading solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Partner with New Business and Client Partners through the pre-sales, sales, and account management process.
2. Respond to client requirements and identify opportunities for their success and continual improvement through their data, and our consulting and engineering.
3. Facilitate workshops and client meetings to clearly understand client needs and convert them into compelling technical responses (proposal, solution design, architecture, road maps and more).
4. Partner with internal and external engineering teams, delivery leads and the broader business as Technical Leader for consulting, architecture, integration, and software delivery engagements.
5. Participate proactively as a member of our Leadership Team, identifying opportunities for business improvement and taking ownership for the delivery of workstreams as part of our business improvement plan.
6. Mentor and lead various technical teams, including Technical Leads.
7. Remain current with core relevant technologies and concepts that apply to modern data platforms and data driven use-cases.
8. Establish and maintain relationships with our Vendor Partners (AWS, GCP, Confluent, Lightbend, Immuta and Databricks).
9. Engage with our Client Partners to improve and develop new product offerings.
10. Partner with Talent & Culture to improve and develop our internal education programs.

Technology Experience:
* We specialise in architecting modern data platforms, enabling use-cases on top of these and designing and building data driven greenfield software applications and products.
* We are looking for someone who can bring thought leadership and deep expertise in each of these practice areas.
* Ideally you will have experience in the following areas: Architecting contemporary enterprise data platforms, Software architecture and development for data driven applications, Familiarity with event driven application design and real-time systems, Contemporary cloud platforms, Modern dev ops practices, Contemporary data processing technologies and concepts, Data governance, monitoring and lineage, Awareness and potential experience with machine learning, decisioning system, rules engines, analytics, The broader ecosystem of data related technologies.
