Overview
The Opportunity: We are seeking a Technical Salesperson to join our Queensland team based in the Central/North QLD region (Mackay and surrounding areas). In this full-time role you will manage an existing customer base while actively identifying and developing current business opportunities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers
- Promote Smenco's range of premium welding and industry products
- Deliver tailored technical solutions and support to customers
- Organise monthly call plans and manage your schedule independently
- Conduct regular site visits, calls and follow-ups
- Prepare and follow up on quotations and sales enquiries
- Accurately maintain customer records
- Meet and exceed defined product sales targets
About You
- Sound product and industry knowledge (welding or industrial equipment preferred)
- A minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience
- Strong communication, negotiation and time management skills
- A motivated and proactive approach to sales and customer service
- High level of computer literacy and organisation
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a broader national team
- A current driver's license and flexibility to travel within your region
- Permanent residency or Australian citizenship
