About the Role
We are supporting a mission-driven organisation looking for a pragmatic and people-focused Software Development Manager to lead their digital platforms team. You'll guide multiple projects, including initiatives like a single digital front door, and have the freedom to decide how solutions are built, what tools to use, and which approaches make sense.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and support a team of software developers, helping them grow and succeed
Run agile rituals like sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Make decisions on technical approaches, architecture and tools
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business
Oversee delivery of several digital initiatives, ensuring quality outcomes
Foster a positive, innovative, and collaborative team culture
What We're Looking For
Experienced in leading software teams in an agile environment
Comfortable guiding technical solutions and mentoring staff
Strong understanding of .NET, React, Typescript, REST APIs, SQL
Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (Azure)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Pragmatic, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Experience in healthcare, education, or not-for-profit is a bonus
