About the Role
As a passionate Classroom Youth Worker, you will work with us to develop holistic wellbeing programs for students, supporting their strengths, passions and interests. You will also lead vocational training programs and form intentional relationships with young people to enhance their experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate pastoral care and community development programs to meet student wellbeing needs and attendance targets.
2. Plan and lead wellbeing programs for students, focusing on their individual needs.
3. Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students, promoting their growth and development.
4. Assist in delivering associated programs, services and events offered to young people through our campus operation.
5. Form strong relationships with young people to identify and support their unmet needs.
6. Support and case manage identified students in line with our school policies and practices.
What We Look For
* A Certificate III or above in Youth Work, Community Services or a relevant qualification.
* A Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* Demonstrated ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies.
* Ability to work using the Strengths Approach, demonstrating empathy and non-judgmental communication.
* Excellent oral and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
