Join GHD, a global professional services company, as a Senior Security Consultant to undertake a variety of security projects across Queensland and Australia.
In this role you will work within a high-performing national team of security services professionals to provide security and risk solutions to GHD's key clients.
Job Description
This position offers diverse work and will involve designing, assessing, managing, and delivering security solutions, as well as building long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, creative, value-added detailed design solutions that fit client and community needs, including:
Integrated Electronic Access Control, Security and Building Management Systems
IP-based integrated Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and Video Analytics Systems
Long-range and short-range Radar Detection Systems
Electronic Security Systems, including High Security Type 1A Alarm Systems
Communications and Electronic Security Networks
Undertake and report on Security Risk and Threat Assessments (SRTAs) for federal and local government agencies and clients.
Manage project delivery, ensuring solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Build and maintain trust-based, long-term professional relationships with clients across all levels.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Communications or Mechatronic) – preferred.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) / Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) – preferred.
Demonstrated, recent experience in the security environment – essential.
Eligibility for Commonwealth Government Security Clearance – essential (GHD will support the application).
Recent working experience with Government Agencies, especially Correctional Facilities and Defence – highly regarded.
Security Risk Management degree or diploma – preferred.
Eligibility to obtain a Security Licence – essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues concisely.
