We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Painter to join our dynamic team in our West-Kalgoorlie workshop!
As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting heavy-duty machinery and equipment. This role involves working with a variety of surfaces, materials, and coatings, and requires strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces (cleaning, sanding, masking, etc.) for painting
- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray guns and other tools
- Operate and maintain painting and blasting equipment
- Perform quality checks to ensure finish meets required standards
- Mix paints to specified colours and consistencies
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with basic maintenance and workshop duties as needed
Requirements:
- Candidates must hold current valid Australian work rights
- Current C Class drivers licence
- Proven experience in industrial or automotive painting (preferably with heavy equipment)
- Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and safety data sheets
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
- Forklift tickets (desirable but not essential)
