Sanctuary Cove Community Services Limited and its wholly owned subsidiaries are responsible for providing excellence and care to the Sanctuary Cove Community through the provision of security and body corporate services.
Sanctuary Cove Security Services provides 24-hour land and water security and first aid response to the community. The security services at the resort, we believe, are unparalleled in Australia due to our professional and customer-focused standards of service.
A full-time Security Officer position is now available.
We seek a person who is committed to their work, their team and Company procedures, who has professional communication and customer service skills and who is very well presented.
Key Duties:
- Patrolling areas of the resort, including zone patrols, perimeters of the resort, including security gates, residential and commercial areas
- Responding to Alarms ad hoc – PIR, Fire Alarm, Fire Fault, Power Fail, Panic, Tamper, etc.
- Completing security checks of buildings and gates, reporting any breaches detected
- Conducting welfare checks as instructed.
- Performing first aid, including advanced first aid (Defib and Oxygen)
- Providing emergency first response, including a hose and standpipe
- Performing Control Room Assistant, Mobile Patrol and Marine Patrol duties
- Performing Control Room duties, monitoring closed-circuit television and alarm monitoring devices (experience will be highly regarded).
Employment Details & Benefits:
· days on 4 days off
· Hours of work between 0545 to 1745 and 1745 to days/ 2 nights)
· hour fortnight - $ $38.83 p/h (plus 11.5% superannuation)
· Public Holidays are paid at additional rate if rostered.

Required Qualifications:
· Queensland Drivers licence
· Queensland Security Officer/Crowd Controller licence
· Provide Advanced First Aid
· Be willing to obtain a Boat and Security Monitoring licence within three months of commencing in the role.
Essential Key Attributes:
- Several years' experience in a Security Officer role (preferred)
- Excellent Customer Service
- High attention to detail
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- High confidentiality practices
- Although not essential, previous experience in alarm monitoring software (Patriot) and Gallagher will be highly regarded.
