The role
Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Educator to join our Early Childhood Team.
Key Requirements
- Hold a current Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one prior to employment.
- Fully vaccinated as per the Public Health Order for Early Childhood Education and Care Educators.
- Responsible and committed.
- Good understanding of English and excellent communication skills—liaising with parents, fellow educators, management and apprenticeship supervisors.
- Confident and willing to be part of a professional team.
Training & Education
The Trainee position is a 12‐month traineeship to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (full time – 38 hour week).
Responsibilities
- Preparation of the indoor and outdoor environment.
- Leading and monitoring the learning of each child.
- Undertaking written observations and documentation in line with EYLF, NQF and NQS.
- Communicating with families and parents.
- Planning and discussing individual children as part of an educational team to achieve the best outcomes.

- Proficient in written observations and documentation per EYLF, NQF and NQS.
- Excellent communication with families and parents.
- Working with Children Check (preferred).
- Work authorisation in Australia (preferred).
Working Conditions
- Start and finish times may vary between 7:00am and 6:00pm.
- No weekend work.
- Work location: In person.
- Working hours: 10‐hour and 8‐hour shifts, day shift, Monday to Friday.
Compensation
Up to $25.00 per hour.
