Transport Analyst Role
We are seeking a skilled Transport Analyst to optimize stock movement within the EO transportation network. The primary responsibility will be to analyze and enhance transportation activities to meet Delivered in Full and On Time (DIFOT) metrics.
This role may involve working at a customer's operations site, alongside our partners at Thales Australia. The EO Services group provides critical storage and logistics support to the Department of Defence.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyze and implement solutions to improve transportation outcomes.
* Develop and evaluate transportation policies, procedures, and standards.
* Maintain data systems to track performance and KPIs.
* Identify process improvements and create implementation plans.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to reconcile strategic transport plans.
* Communicate with managers, customers, contractors, and staff to resolve supply chain risks.
* Ensure compliance with HSE standards and participate in safety initiatives.
* Manage customer delivery changes and maintain strong relationships with management.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Knowledge of transport tracking systems (TMS), Road Traffic Act, Dangerous Goods regulations, NHVR guidelines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in transport systems, excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related fields.
* Leadership skills and Dangerous Goods Training.
* Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
