Job Description About the opportunity The Director, International Marketing and Student Recruitment, is a senior strategic role reporting to the Vice President (Global). This position leads Griffith International's marketing and recruitment operations, driving international enrolments through data-informed decision-making, strategic agent partnership management, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and the development and execution of integrated marketing and recruitment initiatives. Key responsibilities include driving lead generation and recruitment activities, optimising agent performance, executing digital marketing strategies, and leading high-performing onshore and offshore teams. The Director manages budgets and human resources, cultivates strategic external partnerships, and advances the University's international education goals. We are seeking a highly experienced leader for the Director, International Marketing and Student Recruitment role. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success managing marketing and student recruitment teams in Australia and internationally, consistently achieving and exceeding enrolment targets. They will proactively build relationships with agents and institutional partners to drive global growth, serve as a compelling advocate for the Griffith brand, and rapidly identify and leverage market growth opportunities. The Director will employ data-driven decision-making and both develop and implement integrated marketing and recruitment plans, ensuring initiatives align with the University's strategic objectives. Essential skills include exceptional team leadership and demonstrated experience in lead generation, conversion optimisation, and agent network oversight to achieve international student recruitment targets, improve conversion rates, broaden market reach, and foster diverse enrolment profiles. The candidate will be skilled at building positive relationships across university departments and with external partners such as government agencies, industry bodies, and international institutions. Flexibility for regular domestic and extensive international travel is essential. About you Relevant qualifications together with extensive experience in international higher education marketing, recruitment, transnational education and admissions. Applicants must have unrestricted working rights. Sponsorship is not available for this position. What we can offer This is a full time, fixed term opportunity for five years and can be based at either Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campus (candidate may choose). As Griffith is a multi-site University, regular travel between all campuses is expected. A competitive salary will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
