Culinary Specialist Opportunity
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management or equivalent trade qualification. The successful applicant must be able to prepare, cook, and present food items according to menu specifications and customer orders while maintaining consistency and visual appeal.
The selected individual will also plan menus and estimate food and supply requirements, considering cost, availability, and expected customer demand. Strong leadership skills are required to train, supervise, and guide kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation, cooking methods, hygiene, and kitchen safety.
Key responsibilities include:
* Examine food ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety standards.
* Regulate and monitor temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment to ensure correct cooking conditions.
* Prepare meals for customers with special dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural or medical requirements.
