We are seeking a talented Wall & Floor tiler tojoin our growing team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Interpret plans, landscape designs and specifications to measure, mark and set out tiling works across residential and commercial outdoor spaces
- Prepare surfaces including concrete slabs, screeds, pool surrounds and retaining structures by removing existing finishes, levelling, cleaning and repairing substrates
- Apply waterproofing systems to wet areas such as pools, water features and outdoor living zones in line with project requirements
- Spread adhesives and laying wall and floor tiles, pavers or stone to external areas including patios, pathways, pool surrounds and alfresco spaces
- Cut and shape tiles, stone or paving materials to fit edges, corners, drainage points and around fixtures such as pool fittings and landscaping elements
- Ensure accurate alignment, spacing and levels to achieve high-quality finishes and proper water runoff in outdoor environments
- Grout, seal and finish tiled surfaces, including cleaning and removing excess materials to achieve a professional result
- Install decorative tiling features, patterns or stonework to enhance landscape design elements
- Work collaboratively with landscapers and construction teams to ensure seamless integration with broader outdoor projects
Qualifications and skills requirements include:
- Proven experience as a Wall & Floor Tiler
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or at least 3 years of work experience in lieu
- Strong knowledge of tiling techniques, materials, adhesives and waterproofing systems
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
- Good time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Excellent physical condition
