Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
Make a real difference in the justice system. The Assessment & Referral Court (ARC) supports people with mental illness or cognitive impairment by addressing the underlying causes of offending through a therapeutic, collaborative approach.
We're seeking an Advanced Case Manager to provide person‑centred, strengths‑based support to clients with complex mental health, disability and psycho‑social needs. In this role, you will:
* work intensively with clients experiencing complex mental health, disability and social challenges.
* complete assessments, design tailored support plans, coordinate treatment and support services, and strengthen protective factors that reduce re‑offending.
* also prepare high‑quality court reports, provide advice to the judiciary, and mentor case managers to support best practice.
* work closely with stakeholders across the justice, legal and community service systems.

About you
To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:
* Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma; degree highly desirable) in social work, psychology, welfare, AOD, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience
* Experience working with clients presenting complex needs, with expertise in at least one specialty area (mental health, ABI, disability, AOD, family violence, homelessness)
* Demonstrated capability to mentor case managers, particularly in areas requiring advanced knowledge
